Get introduction
Rotten Royals began as a desk for people who were tired of nodding through insurance conversations they did not follow. The policies were real. The explanations were not. We built a practice that slows the meeting down, names every limit in ordinary words, and writes the outcome so it can be checked later.
We guide auto, home, life, health, business, and travel cover. We prepare quote requests. We do not issue policies ourselves, and we do not pretend a brochure is the same thing as a contract. If a sentence on a quote does not match what you heard, we want that found before you pay, not after a loss.
Our story
Most people meet insurance at the worst possible speed. A renewal notice arrives, a new driver joins the household, a workshop takes on its first employee, or a trip is booked for next month. The form asks for answers that sound technical, and the clock on the page feels louder than the question. Rotten Royals exists for that moment, but earlier, while there is still time to choose.
We treat a policy as a promise with edges. The useful part of our work is drawing those edges where you can see them. A home policy may answer for a burst pipe and stay silent about a flood from the street. An auto policy may pay for the other person’s car and still leave a gap on the loan for your own. A life policy may protect income for a set number of years and then end, even if the family still needs it. None of those facts are tricks. They are the design of the cover. They should be said in a room, not discovered in a claim.
Our guides specialise. Amara stays with life and income questions. Julian stays with vehicles and drivers. Elena stays with buildings and contents. Marcus stays with health plan structures. Nora stays with shops, studios, and workshops. Owen stays with travel and with the claims questions people are afraid to ask in advance. You still write to one email. The person who replies is the person whose subject matches yours, and the recap is shared back to you in one thread.
We also keep a boundary that protects you. Illustrative prices on this website are fees for our guidance. They are not insurance premiums. A premium is set by an insurer after it sees the risk. We will never dress a planning number up as a finished price. When a quote arrives from an insurer, we help you compare it with the notes from your appointment so you can see what changed.
What we stand on
If a word only makes sense inside the insurance trade, we translate it before we move on. You should be able to repeat the point to someone you trust.
The pages people skip are the pages that decide claims. We start there, then return to the benefits with the limits still in view.
A good meeting is easy to forget. A short recap keeps the drivers, the sums, and the open questions in one place.
You can leave an appointment without buying. Pressure is a poor way to choose cover that may last for years.
Learn the way to insurance
01Name the risk that worries you most. We will not open six topics if one topic is the reason you wrote.
02Weekday appointments run between 9:00 and 18:00. You receive the question list before we begin.
03We review people, property, and limits. You can stop us at any sentence that feels unclear.
04If you want a quote, we prepare the request. The decision to accept an insurer’s offer stays with you.
Professional team
The people on this desk have spent their time inside one kind of cover long enough to know the usual surprises. Read their notes, then write if you want that person in the room.
